Time heals, they say. Time heals, one listens. Time heals, one believes.
Time does not heal. Whatever happens, the pain, the hurt, the sorrow, the heartbreak, the regret, it does not heal by time. Survivors bear memory that remains forever. Forever. That memory does not disappear in time, it does not fade away, it does not transform itself into anything else.
I survived. There is no time that can heal that. No time can make that memory evanesce.
Love heals. Only love. Love that you can immerse yourself into. Love of a friend, a child, a parent, a partner… Love for creating, transforming, experiencing… Any love.
Love of my children, love of my man who also survived and my love for them, their laughter, their happiness. That love taught me to honour my memory and it is trough that love that I heal.
